Abstract

ABSTRACT: DSRP-484 provides a formal clarification of O-Theory and DSRP Theory by specifying DSRP as a recursive structural calculus rather than as four independent categories, heuristics, or pedagogical tools. The formulation integrates four Patterns—Distinction, System, Relationship, and Perspective; eight corresponding Elements; their Special Relationships; and four structural dynamics: Equality, Coimplication, Simultaneity, and Enclosure and 6 structural mechanics. Equality defines each Pattern as a structured relation between dual elements; Coimplication establishes that each element necessarily implies its complementary pole; Simultaneity establishes that every element can simultaneously instantiate all other elemental structural forms; and Enclosure establishes that every Pattern recursively requires all other Patterns as conditions of its existence. Together, these dynamics establish DSRP as an irreducible, recursively entangled, structurally inseparable, and non-modular calculus in which no Pattern can be instantiated independently. The resulting calculus describes the adaptive mechanics by which information is organized in both mental models and reality, providing a common structural foundation for cognition, meaning, learning, culture, context, and emergence. Finally, DSRP-484 connects these mechanics to the Love Reality Loop and model–reality alignment, in which recursive structural feedback progressively increases correspondence between the organization of mental models and the organization of reality. DSRP-484 therefore advances DSRP from a commonly simplified representation into an explicit formal theory of the structural mechanics underlying cognition and organized reality.

The science of

The Journal of Systems Thinking publishes research on how things are organized, from ideas in a mind to systems in the world. It is home to systems thinking and the systems sciences, and to the bridge between how we know (epistemology) and what is (ontology).
